Tournament Parade!

Thursday Feb 17th and our very first Team/Player Parade in the middle of Key West Duval St where teams will line up at 4 PM and march down with their country or state flag along Duval St. There will be marching bands, floats and mayor of Key West Jimmy Weekly will be the Grand Marshall along with Pro Football Player Bryon Marques. Kelly McGillis will be involved in many of the activities throughout the weekend and will play on the Key West "Loose Womens" team!

Tournament Itinerary

Wednesday, Feb 16th

Official clinic: 3 PM-5pm

Women wanting to learn how to officiate may sign up for the officials clinic. Rules, Mechanics, Handling team dispute will be instructed. Participants need to come in full uniform and will officiate during the tournament. IWFFA certification upon satisfactory completion.

Thursday, Feb 17th

3 K run t11:00 AM t Sponsored by Club International

Runners meet outside the Travel Lodge at 10:30 AM t 3444 North Roosevelt Blvd

Any girl or woman who would like to run in this 3 K run is invited. Prizes to top 3 runners. No registration fee, free to all tplease call in advance, but you can just show up at the site

Thursday Evening: Meet & Greet 7 t 10 PM

Team / Player Registration will be held at the Host Hotel: Hampton Inn t 7 t 10 PM

Rules meeting with team captains / teams are pulled from a hat and seeded into tournament format / Rude Girl and Molly Blue will DJ that night

Friday February 18

8:30 AM Opening Ceremony - Wicker Fields t Flagler and Kennedy Blvd

Tournament Director: Cris Bracket t will speak

Diane Beruldsen President IWFFA - Welcome to all teams

National and International Anthems will be sung, pledge to all flags (Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Canada, Mexico and America)

Celebrities to throw football t Kelly McGillis / Key West City Commissioner Oosterhoudt / Bryan Marquis (pro football player).

First set of games begin at 9:00 AM on all four fields

TEAM PHOTOS - 15 minutes before each teams first game

Games will go on every one hour fifteen minutes

Games are played Friday and Saturday. Sunday are play-offs and championships for each division: Girls 9 t 13 yr. / Young Ladies 14 t 17 yr. / Womens Recreational / Womens Competitive / Womens Highly Competitive

Girls Division will receive their awards on the field on Sunday

All girls games will be played: Saturday and Sunday

At the field will be arts & craft women, food and drinks at the concession

Half Time games throughout the tournament held at the main field where spectators and players may participate in fun games and prizes to winners:

Tug a war, furthest football throw, longest kick, stickball batting contest, relay races, bed races, etc

 

AWARDS:

Prizes to all / MVP Offense and Defense for each team / Special All-Star Team awarded / Free Team registration to winners in each division for any IWFFA tournament / Championship Tee shirts to all divisions except Highly Competitive division which wins $1,000. Trophies to top three in each division

Dance for teenagers at youth dance club located on South Roosevelt

 

Friday Social for Women: Sponsored by: Fat Tuesdays - 305 Duval St

9 PM teams will meet (4 to each team) and race around the streets of Key West for a roll of toilet paper. Food will be served and drinks can be bought

Saturday Social for Girls:

Bowling at Boca Chica Naval base

Saturday Social for Women: 8 PM till?

Sponsored by 801 Bar on Duval

Duval Crawl t 8 bars will participate

Women will participate in this Duval Crawl and various prizes for:

Best dressed, funniest dressed, first to cross finish, most points received (kareokee, arm wrestle, beer drinking contest, etc) . Crawl will end at 801club and prizes will be given out. Participants will buy a wrist band for $5.00 and at each bar receive a free / or discounted drink price and get stamped for their accomplishment at each bar)

Awards for womens teams will be held at Kellys following last championship game

Film of tournament will be shown and awards given out to all womens teams
