The Winners of the IWFFA/Oakland
tournament were none other than the Quebec Junior
from Canada. Never failing to impress fans with
the dedication it takes to win the big game.
The Jacksonville Lady Jaguars were brilliant as usual. Oakland
Raider Girls displayed some interesting girls who certainly had
the passion for the game. They will certainly be the future of
the program developing in CA.
The city of Oakland put on a great show for the kids, Boat Rides, Laser Tag, Go- karts, Mini Putt, and an endless supply of hamburgers and other wonderful treats. Who could forget the Oakland Raiders Ralley?! Not Martin. Also 2 officials have been invited to participate in the class of 2001 International Women's Officials Association (IWOA)
The championship game came
down to a tie breaker Jacksonville 13 Quebec 13! Given 4 chances
from the 10 yard line, Quebec would be victorious! This was the
last time these two teams would meet in the season!The next time
they will meet will be Key West.
There were so many wonderful people in Oakland to thank, but to
make the list short, I would like to personally thank the city
of Oakland, Mr. Bill, Melvin, Earnest, and my man, Gilbert Gong.
